5k run!

A mile is 1.61 kilometers, meaning Summer, my sister, and I (and others) will be running a little over 3 miles. This event is called

"Save a Sister Run For Breast Cancer

http://www.runnersworld.com/cda/racefinderdetail/1,7150,s6-239-283-284-0-0-0-0-1924089,00.html

Here is a website to learn a little more about it. I just got done with my first training today, and I am so excited to start! Summer's sister built us a chart for every day practice up to the day of the race! Starting with walking 2 minutes and sprinting 1: I'm not used to it yet because I normally keep a pretty steady pace, but I found out that it was a lot more entertaining to switch what you are doing every now and then.
This race is on the morning of my sister-in-laws baby shower, so it's going to be a crazy day! But I am really looking forward to it!

Being Asked to Homecoming

When you think it's an ordinary day and you wake up early to go shooting with your dad and grandpa, and you come home to this: Balloons EVERYWHERE! All in my closet and behind my bed, there was a big old mess of them!
What do you do?

There was 2 shades of greens, a red, pink, 3 shades of blues, white, yellow, and even silver
WILL YOU FLY WITH ME TO HOMECOMING? POP MY PAL.

This note is what I found in "my pal" SOLVE THE PUZZEL, BY POPPING THE BALLOONS TO FIND OUT WHO IS ASKING YOU TO HOMECOMING HINT: TRY MATCHING THE NUMBERS WITH LETTERS FROM THE ALPHABET.
Meaning I had to pop every balloon to find numbers, good thing we just got done shooting so we had ear plugs: man, I didn't know where to start, tell my dad gave me a pin and we poped as fast as we could! It was a blast!
Here is my dad popping half of the balloons while I am on the other side of the camera laughing at the sight of all of this camotion.
After solving the puzzle this is what I got:
Than when we where all done we got to clean up the mess, and had ONE last survivor:
what a colorful afternoon. (:

Color Guard Practice

This weekend my cousin Micaella got the chance to travel down to St. George to come visit me for my birthday, we spent our time camping with my friend Dominique and we met a new friend, George! We had a blast! Playing card games, riding four wheelers tell our butts were literally brused, and eat Becky's amazing cooking! We all had so much fun discovering new things, (like a HUGE tree house, the size of a real house) and just getting to know each other a little better.
After Micaella and I got home (and showered 100x) we spent our Sunday night out in the back yard playing with my tear-drop flag and my rifle, we had fun showing each other new tosses and danced so much we became so dissy after, but oh boy did we have fun doing it!

I love my cousin and I am always so sad to see her leave!!!! As you can tell we have to worries (putting on make up, getting ready, or worrying about our home work) when we are together. We have each other and that's all we need! If I could kidnap this girl and have her stay longer I would! I was so sad to come home from a strange day at school to not see her waiting at the door, she has only been gone a few hours and I feel like it's been years! I MISS YOU TAY AND I WOULD DIE FOR YOU GIRL, LOVE YOU!!! <3

Back to Blonde

I started getting sick of everyone dying their hair red, I swear half of my school is a red head now! So.. being one of those, I decided to go back to blonde! Well you know what they say: "Blondes have more fun."

Summer Love

Megan and I have been friends sense second grade, and shared everything with eachother; she lives by me but we hardly ever see one another, so when we do it's always meaningful.
I have always wanted to become a photographer, at least i've always had fun taking the pictures; when Megan found this out she let me take pictures of her and her boy friend Ceaser. We had a lot of fun doing so, and I even got Ceaser to smile! (Which never happens) Megan and I have been close for a long time, we are a lot alike but yet so different:  her last name and my first are even the same, I love just simply love this girl! We took many photos, but I figured I'd just share just a few, isn't she cute!?

Mya

Mya is my first Niece and she has grown so much these past two weeks!! She is starting to crawl (well she is getting up on her knees at least, than she takes a step and slams her chin; but it's a start!) Mya has also been teething and she now is growing in her top tooth! But those you can't see as well as her cute little bottom teeth! Isn't she just adorable with that big smile?

 Isn't she just the
cuttest thing you have ever seen?!!

Here is one of Mya and her Mommy <3

Making it Your Own

Tell me if you meet these requirements:
  • Size 2
  • 5'11
  • Drop-Dead-Gorgeous
If you are a real person: you probably don't meet all three of these requirements. I thought the only people who could wear a maxi dress would have to be all of these things. Like this lovely lady here:
Looks like a model right? Well, she probably is. Not many of us would feel comfortable wearing this around the house let alone playing at the park or running to the grocery store real fast. So when I was given this blue dress to try on I got nervous, fast!

When I saw this Maxi dress, I thought it was SO CUTE! I mean isn't it? It's not too much, and is a vibrant beautiful blue with a cute white and black design. But I'm only 5'5, I can't pull it off. Well I still tried it and ended up buying it because it looked so great!

Pull your hair up in a bun, wear it in a side braid, have it down and curl it. It doesn't matter: people's eyes won't be on your hair, they will be on the long elegant dress you are wearing!
If I Miss Sceptical, can pull of a Maxi dress...so can you! Try it out: try on something in the store that you would have never thought of trying before. It may surprise you, it sure surprised me.

Making it Your Own

Who doesn't love BRIGHT COLORS? Yes, we all have that child hidden in us somewhere. Being a kid, who's favorite crayon wasn't the hot pink or groovy green? But to wear these colors? (yes, you may laugh: I did when I tried on a Bright Blue dress) but, just look at this lady! Guaranteed she may have on a lot of make-up but, isn't she just beaming?? Even in a crowded city of NY you could pick this woman out! Let's get that child back in us, and express it through our clothes! Why not stand out? We are God's children, doesn't that make us all amazing? Ssooo ask yourself: Am I willing to try it? I was:

Here it is! My new hunter-orange shirt!
If you are still a little scared, do
what I did: just add a little something
else, like this bow! The shirt is still
fun and silly, but it also can be elegant.
It may look also like I have grown wings in this shirt:
but why not fly with these new fun bright colors?
Summer's not over yet!

Making it Your Own

Go to google and type in Celebrity Outfits find something you are willing to try on (or not so willing but looks fun). Than go to your nearest mall and find an outfit that looks similar to the one your chosen celebrity is wearing.  Try it on!! (Oh, and make sure you always grab a size larger than you think you are, that way if you have to go down a size it might make you feel a little better: I mean come on ladies!! No one likes to try something on just to go back to get a larger size, right?)
My friend Mandy always seam to wear a loose shirt and it looks amazing on her! Mandy and I are about the same size, but I can never seam to pull off these types of shirts like she can, I fell like I look so frumpy! While shopping with Shelbie she opened my eyes, and made me willing to try on anything. Scary isn't it?!

Here it is Ladies: a "Disney princess" pulling off a loose simple light gray t-shirt. (Good thing they have editing for her, right? ) WRONG! She looks stunning in this outfit by herself! Here we go........ from Celebrity to just your girl next door:

Well.. What do you think? She may have spiked up her outfit with a pencil skirt, a criss-cross heel, and her hair all curly. I put a small flowered brown necklace, tight jeans, a green pearl bracelet,  and my hair is half falling out of it's braid; OH! and did I mention my shirt is color of grandma's old couch?
BUT... I love it!

My smile comes natural in this outfit, it may not be as cheesy as the moon in our children books (like this Celebrity) I mean doesn't her face just scream "I can't wait to get out of this outfit and get back in my old sweats?

You can look nice, and be comfortable people! Just try it!

Making it Your Own

I have always hated shopping, and when it comes to clothes shopping (especially for myself) you can count  me out!! This goes out to all the "I hate shopping because, I don't look good in anything". People, shopping can actually be fun! (Who would have known?)
It's simple really, take Hayden Penettiere for example: talk about ELEGANCE! Just look at her! If someone told me I could pull off this look- I'd tell them to drop-dead. Haha. Well, actually someone did tell me I could and that would be my sister, Shelbie. She proceeded to make me try on a look just like Miss (skinny-hot) Hayden Penettiere:

Hayden has on a  loose white top, if you know me: you know I am cursed that if I wear white, I  am guaranteed to spill something on it! So I went with a cream shirt, and add a slimming cardigan over the top. That way I am still modest. You know what they say, "Modest is Hottest". Just like this stunning Heros actress I have on a black pencil skirt. Well, I may not compare to a Celebrity but I must say Shelbie proved me wrong when I said I couldn't pull off a lose top with a slimming skirt.
